Membrane filters Cyclopore™ polycarbonate are true pore size microporous membranes featuring the sharp cut-off and reproducible microfiltration characteristics of track-etched membrane filters.Low affinity for stains improves visibility under a microscopeLow protein binding minimizes sample loss of proteinaceous samplesNarrow pore size distribution and high pore density support rapid surface capture of analyteNegligible absorption and adsorption of filtrate; nonhygroscopicNo particle shedding enables clean filtrateBiologically inertFilters are autoclavable for 30 min at 121 °C
The Whatman Mini-UniPrep™ filter provides a quick and easy means of removing particles from HPLC samples. In comparison to other methods the amount of time required for sample preparation is reduced to one third. Mini-Uni-Prep™ is a ready-to-use filter unit consisting of a 0.4ml chamber and a plunger. The plunger contains a filtration membrane at one end and a cap with septum at the other. The plunger is pressed through the sample in the chamber. The pressure generated forces the filtrate into the plunger reservoir, with air escaping through the vent hole until the locking mechanism engages to form an airtight seal. The unit can now be placed in any autosampler and the sample analysed.
Resistant to temperatures up to 500 °CAnalysis of hot and acidic gases, including emission control and smoke stack gas monitoringSoxhlet extractionAnalysis of pesticide residuesDetermination of oil/fat content of foodsAnalysis of oil and grease in solid wastes
Acid-treated for high wet-strengthExtremely low ash content (0.006 % ash maximum)Nominal particle retention of 8 µmMedium flow rate (Herzberg filtration speed 200 s)High chemical resistance to strong acid and alkali suspensions
Versatile use - ready-to-use filter units with a hydrophilic,low protein-binding membrane made of regenerated cellulose.First class chemical resistance against the usual aqueousand organic HPLC solventsSpartan®13 and 30 are tested and certified for UV absorbance substances at wavelengths of 210nm and 254nm with water, methanol and acetonitrile;Spartan® 13 has an extremely low hold up volume;
Compatible with Hirsch or Büchner funnels, average thickness 115 µm. Acid-treated for high wet-strength and chemical resistance.Nominal particle retention of 2.7 µmSlow flow rates (Herzberg filtration speed 2685 s)High purity and low ash content (0.015 % ash maximum)

Ideal for weighing and transporting all types of sample. Especially for determination of nitrogen according to Kjeldahl (e.g. determination of total protein content in foodstuff). Made of nitrogen-free parchment paper. Can be dropped into the Kjeldahl flask and be dissolved together with the sample.
Syringe filters are suitable for rapid sample filtration and are used in a variety of applications, such as capillary electrophoresis, protein filtration, and UV spectroscopy sample preparation. With female Luer lock inlet.For the ready-to-use filter units, only virgin raw material is used. This ensures that there is no interaction with the sample to be filtered, provided that the units are used properly. The filter units are intended for laboratory use only.Note: If syringes with a volume <10 ml are used, a pressure could be created which exceeds the max. operating pressure (700 kPa/7 bar) of the filter unit.Hydrophobic membrane. Ideal for filtration of non-polar liquids and gases.Housing made of PPOutlet male Luer coneAutoclavable at 121 °C
