Thermostats & Baths
Circulators with stainless steel or plastic bath vessels are used for internal and external temperature control tasks. The circulation enables a constant and homogeneous temperature distribution in the water. At the same time, smaller objects can be tempered directly in the thermostat bath. Models with different bath sizes and features are available. Temperature monitoring with the aid of optional external temperature sensors guarantees a high degree of temperature constancy. Certain immersion circulators can be equipped with a cooling bath to ensure temperature consistency.
Devices without a temperature control bath, such as circulating coolers, are often used for the coolers of rotary evaporators and for extreme cryogenic applications of reaction vessels. In this case, appropriate refrigerants become necessary. Closed systems reduce water consumption and allow the use of thermofluids.
