Hot Plates & Hoods
Heating plates are used in many ways in the laboratory for uniform heating of glass vessels (beakers, flasks) and pots as well as for drying substances. Heating plates made of glass ceramic are characterized by high chemical resistance. Universally applicable laboratory hotplates offer a high degree of safety. Analog and digital controllers guarantee reliable temperature settings.
Heating mantles (heating mushrooms) with glass silk insulated heating zones are used for heating glass vessels (flasks). The outer jacket is made in a crocheted form and the flexible heating element ensures uniform heat distribution and gentle treatment of the laboratory glassware. Typical use is in distillation processes. Due to safety requirements, the temperature is controlled by a personal protection switch. The design of heating mantles with corrosion-resistant stainless steel heating pan serves as protection against leaking liquids as a result of vessel book. Various performances such as series heaters also possible practical use in the fume hood.
