Respiratory Masks
Respiratory masks protect against particles, vapors, and gases.
In the häberle shop, we offer a range of products from Drägerm, Ekastu, B-Safety, 3M, and many more.
Conventional FFP masks only provide protection against particles and do not meet the requirements for toxic vapors. There are different types of filters that should be selected based on the protection needed. The letter A indicates protection against gases and vapors of organic compounds with a boiling point above 65 degrees Celsius. These include paints, varnishes, bleaches, spray adhesives, or epoxy adhesives containing solvents. Masks in category B, on the other hand, provide protection against inorganic gases and vapors such as chlorine, hydrogen sulfide, and hydrogen cyanide. When sulfur dioxide and hydrogen chloride are released, the respiratory mask must comply with protection class E. For ammonia and organic ammonia derivatives, labeling with K is important. Special precautions are also required for carbon monoxide (CO), mercury vapor (Hg), nitrous gases, and nitrogen monoxide (NO).
