The Prism™ Mini can be used for a wide range of molecular biology separations and quick spins. The centrifuge was designed to be extremely compact with an exceptionally small footprint. It includes 2 quick release interchangeable rotors, which spin up to 6000 rpm's. The electronic brake and self opening lid allow for quick deceleration to reduce handling time. The Prism™ Mini's maintenance-free drive is remarkably quiet and the unique design allows for excellent airflow, to protect temperature sensitive samples.Quick release rotor exchangeIncreased sample capacityRapid sample processingOne-step sample retrievalScope of supply: Mini Centrifuge incl. 8 place tube rotor for 1.5/2.0 ml microcentrifuge tubes, incl. adapters for 0.5 ml and 0.4 ml tubes and PCR strip rotor for 4 strips with 8 x 0.2 ml tubes or 32 x 0.2 ml single tubes.Further adapters available on request.

Centrifuges
Centrifuges use the physical principle of mass inertia to separate substances. Accordingly, the substances migrate outward due to their different densities in the vessel as a result of the centrifugal force that occurs. Depending on the loading quantities and rotor type, such as fixed-angle rotor or swing-out rotor, substances can be separated to varying degrees. Tempering by means of cooling units also makes it possible to separate biological sample material gently. In addition to benchtop centrifuges for smaller substance quantities, floor-standing centrifuges are used for large loading quantities to achieve strong gravity fields (x g). Programmable centrifugation sequences allow reproducible results.
