Safety cabinets and digesters
A fascinating world full of possibilities! Digesters are available in many different variants. Each fulfills very different requirements, depending on what you want to do with them. The space requirements in the extraction, the flexibility of the applications and the type of chemicals used are particularly exciting factors to consider.
Table hood - the best choice for universal tasks in the laboratory! It consists of a worktop at a comfortable working height, which is protected from all sides by walls. The front side can be easily opened and closed via a sliding mechanism. Extraction - that's the keyword! Because this way, emerging vapors or dusts are directly extracted, which is really super practical!
Walk-in chemical hood - the optimal solution for large working heights! Do you need a particularly large working height, for example for corresponding chromatography or distillation equipment? Then a walk-in chemical hood is just right for you! This is really a brilliant solution! Because with it, the corresponding large setups can be slid directly and barrier-free into the interior of the hood. By closing the floor-to-ceiling front sliders, employees are protected from potentially occurring gases or dusts - an absolute protection that ensures more safety!
Pharmacy hood
The pharmacy hood was specially developed for handling less toxic hazardous substances. This hood is perfect for anyone working with dusty and volatile chemicals typically found in pharmacies. The small hood is a real space-saving miracle and can be used flexibly. And it even meets the requirements of the pharmacy operating regulations.
Small laboratory hood - the perfect choice for flexible and space-saving applications! And the best thing about it: Although the laboratory hood is small, it meets all necessary standard requirements! Thanks to its high mobility and small size, it can be placed wherever needed - a real multitasker! And the best part is: Thanks to flexible connections, full functionality is guaranteed at the new location!
Exhaust hood For particularly high chemical loads such as the exhaust of strong acids, an exhaust hood is the perfect choice. This is lined inside with particularly resistant materials, which excel in resisting acid attacks, among other things. The special construction is also perfect for working under high thermal loads!
SAFETY WORKBENCHES
Special care is required for genetic or microbiological work with biological or hazardous substances: Safety workbenches are a brilliant invention! They protect employees from infectious material and preserve the work object from contaminations. They are simply ingenious because they prevent the penetration of organisms, spores, and aerosols. There are other exciting terms used for this type of workbench: sterile bench, sterile chamber, or flow (derived from "laminar flow cabinet").
Differentiation from hoods and cleanroom workbenches Unlike hoods, microbiological safety workbenches provide unique protection against particles and aerosols. But beware: The filters do not protect against vapor and gaseous hazardous substances. Cleanroom workbenches are simply brilliant! They protect not only the product but also the person working with it.
Protection classes and functionality Microbiological safety workbenches are divided into three protection classes, all of which offer excellent protection.
Microbiological safety workbench, Class I:
Personal protection
The front of the safety workbench is open, room air is sucked in over the work surface through the working opening. The generated airflow transports aerosols and particles to a filter - and this is simple and effective! Part of the filtered air is even returned to the workspace! Class I protection is a real highlight among safety workbenches! It is exclusively there to protect the worker. This is really a brilliant solution! When the airflow can flow unhindered, the worker is protected except for the arms and hands, which are inside the housing. Unfortunately, product protection cannot be guaranteed with this model.
Microbiological safety workbench, Class II:
Personal and product protection - a brilliant combination! For Class II safety workbenches, the front window is partially open. And now comes the best part: In a vertical laminar downflow, part of the airflow is directed to suction openings at the edges of the work surface. The other part of the sucked room air is led to the filter and cleaned before coming into contact with the work material - an absolutely brilliant process! But what happens if the laminar flow and thus the mixing of indoor and outdoor air is disturbed by turbulence? Sensors trigger an alarm in this case! Class II protection is absolute protection for everyone working in the safety workbench. As long as sufficient air is extracted and the laminar airflow is not hindered, everything is safe and good. But one thing should not be forgotten: Arms and legs are not protected! The work objects or products located in the safety workbench are protected from contaminations - absolute protection against germs and bacteria!
Microbiological safety workbench, Class III:
increased personal protection, product protection, and environmental protection - this is really sensational! Class III safety workbenches are fully enclosed systems under negative pressure. But that's not all: they have permanently installed gloves and airlocks (hence also called "Glove Box" in English), through which tools and work materials can be safely and easily introduced. Supply air and exhaust air are filtered and regulated in such a way that an impressive negative pressure is created inside. This is really a great thing because potentially contaminated indoor air cannot escape, even if there are leaks somewhere. As a closed system, Class III provides extremely high protection against airborne hazardous substances to workers and the environment and also protects the work object from contaminations.
Let yourself be inspired by our safety workbenches!
Equipment and accessories Our microbiological safety workbenches are modularly constructed so that you can flexibly adapt to different requirements. The interior is made of high-quality stainless steel or other suitable materials and can be easily removed for cleaning. But that's not all! Matching bases, ergonomic footrests, and laboratory chairs further facilitate work and provide even more comfort.
The safety workbenches can be equipped with suitable accessories as required, such as electrical sockets and media connections for air, gas, or vacuum. IV hanging rods with hooks are a brilliant solution for pharmaceutical applications. With these, IV bags can be hung or stored during work. Germicidal UV lamps are used for decontamination and sterilization, ensuring absolutely safe and effective disinfection.
We offer solutions from the following manufacturers such as Thermo, Carlo ERBA, Faster, Ecosafe, Esco, Köttermann, asecos etc.
