Microfluidics
A syringe pump is a device used to administer injection and infusion solutions from syringes.
Infusion pumps are different.
A syringe pump consists of a syringe, a motor, and a controller.
The drive mechanism moves the clamped syringe to deliver the liquid in a precisely set amount from the syringe. Most syringe pumps can operate with 20-ml and 50-ml syringes. The volume can vary widely depending on the manufacturer and model, typically ranging from 0.1 to 999.9 ml per hour. Most syringe pumps can also deliver a bolus
3.Application
Syringe pumps are primarily used in intensive care, anesthesia, and pediatrics when precise dosage is critical. They are especially used in specialized anesthesia procedures such as Total Intravenous Anesthesia (TIVA) and Target Controlled Infusion (TCI).
