Water Bath
The water bath has a wide range of applications in research and industry, including:
- Temperature control of ointments and emulsions

How Water Baths Work
To heat samples, the material inside an electrically heated and electronically controlled water bath is exposed to defined temperatures. Heat energy is transferred to the sample by thermal conduction within the water bath. The heat always flows in the direction of the lower temperature within the bath.
Special Accessories for the Memmert Water Bath (Shaking Water Bath)
A Memmert water bath from size 15 onwards can be converted into a shaking water bath using an electronically controlled shaking device. The horizontal shaking movements can be adjusted between 30 and 150 strokes per minute.
A compact cooling unit with ±0.1 K precision for the water bath: The "Snap-On" Peltier cooling device CDP115 enables precise temperature control below room temperature without the need for bulky external cooling devices.

Cooling-Heating Thermostats
These cooling circulation thermostats are perfect for external temperature control or temperature regulation within a bath vessel! These devices provide top-tier heating and cooling performance for exceptionally fast heating and cooling times!
With "Active Cooling Control", they offer active cooling power regulation up to +200 °C (not available in models ED or F12) – a true highlight! The FP models feature proportional cooling power regulation, making them energy-efficient with minimal heat dissipation.
Another key feature is the removable ventilation grille, which allows easy removal of unavoidable dust accumulation. Depending on the model, they come with a carrying handle or casters for easy transport! All models include a practical drain valve on the front, making it easy to empty the bath fluid.
