Water Baths
Water baths find diverse applications in research and industry:
Temperature control of ointments and emulsions
Temperating and incubating cultures
Heating samples, plates, and nutrient media in the laboratory
Fermentation, homogenization
Preheating of rolling bearings before installation
Heating substances in reaction vessels such as beakers, Erlenmeyer flasks, round-bottom flasks, etc.
Corrosion testing, material testing
Operation of Water Baths
To heat, the material to be processed is exposed to defined temperatures inside an electrically heated and electronically controlled water bath. Heat energy is transferred to the material in the water bath via conduction. Heat always flows in the direction of lower temperature within the water bath.
Special Accessories for Memmert Water Baths (Shaking Water Baths)
A Memmert water bath from size 15 comes equipped with an electronically controlled shaking device, transforming it into a shaking water bath. Horizontal shaking movements can be adjusted between 30 and 150 strokes per minute.
Compact and precisely adjustable cooling unit for the water bath: The "Snap-On" Peltier cooling unit CDP115 allows precise temperature control in the water bath below room temperature without cumbersome external cooling units.
We offer solutions from Memmert, Julabo, Lauda, IKA, etc.
Cold-Hot Thermostats
These cold-circulating thermostats are perfect for external temperature control or tempering in the bath vessel! The devices provide high heating and cooling performance for exceptionally short heating and cooling times! With "Active Cooling Control" for active cooling regulation up to +200 °C (not applicable to models ED or F12) – a true highlight! Models FP are equipped with proportional cooling power control, making them not only energy-efficient but also operating with low waste heat. Another highlight is the removable ventilation grille, allowing easy removal of inevitable dust. Depending on the model, they come with a carrying handle or casters for super easy transport! All models feature a super practical drain valve at the front for easy drainage of the bath fluid. Typical applications that will impress you: These fantastic models are perfect for tempering external closed systems, such as photometers, refractometers, and viscometers. For simultaneous tempering of small objects in the thermostat bath – an absolutely ingenious feature!
LED temperature display for actual and set values Keyboard for set value input Adjustable over-temperature and dry-running protection Over-temperature / dry-running protection (with float switch) Timer function RS232 interface 3-point calibration Early warning system for low liquid level And the best part is that it handles both high and low temperatures. It also offers an extended temperature range and electronically adjustable pump performance. The models also feature a bright, practical VFD display that simultaneously displays internal and external set and actual values. You can also use a PID cascade temperature control to achieve optimal stability in internal and external temperatures. This pump is a true multitasker! It features electronically adjustable pump pressure and illuminated display of the pumping phase. It also offers a connection for an external PT100 temperature sensor for measurement and control. And that's not all: It also includes an integrated programmer with 10 program steps. The HL models have even more to offer! They feature an optional electronic module with analog connections for temperature recorders and setpoint programmers. This particularly powerful, electronically adjustable pressure and suction pump (up to 1.1 bar) is a real highlight! ICC (Intelligent Cascade Control), self-optimizing TCF (Temperature Control Functions) for band limitation, limit setting, co-speed factor, and control dynamics Models HL: These models are a further development of the HE models and additionally feature a backlit LCD dialog display with interactive menu and connections for optional solenoid valves or HST booster heaters with an additional heating power of 4 kW. RS232/RS485 interface for comprehensive communication and networking possibilities Integrated programmer for six 60-step programs For all devices with an RS232 interface, the free EasyTemp software can be used for PC control, which can be downloaded free of charge.
LAUDA Compact circulating thermostats for professional temperature control from -90 to 250 °C LAUDA PRO circulating thermostats with a small active liquid volume are perfect for rapid temperature changes with low operating costs and minimal material usage.
Two innovative control units are available, which will impress you! Base or Command Touch – the choice is yours! But that's not all: Both are removable and can be used as remote controls.
The compact design is an absolute dream! It allows space-saving installation of the thermostat, giving you even more space for your research. With its incredibly fast temperature changes, it is perfect for external applications!
The PRO heat circulating thermostats are perfect companions for external applications up to 250°C! Thanks to the low filling volume, the connected application heats up in no time! The compact design allows space-saving installation of the thermostat, opening up entirely new possibilities! And as a special highlight, a standard integrated cooling coil for counter cooling is on board! The PRO cold circulating thermostats are perfect for all external applications requiring rapid temperature changes. Cooling capacities of 0.6 and 0.8 kW, combined with a very low filling volume, enable these rapid temperature changes. The thermostats have an operating temperature range of -40 to 200 °C. All types are equipped with a pressure-suction pump. Hybrid cooling of the refrigeration machine allows cooling with ambient air or additionally with cooling water.
